The app has the whole of UMTmaxim inside it, so it opens and works with no internet. It can also remind you about deadlines, exams and marks even when it is closed.
Install it (about a minute)
- Download the file above (or open it from WhatsApp or Google Drive if a friend shared it).
- Open the downloaded file. Android will say it can't install apps from this source. Tap Settings, then switch on Allow from this source (it may be called Install unknown apps).
- Go back and tap Install. If Play Protect asks, choose Install anyway: the app is not on the Play Store, it is shared as a file.
- Open UMTmaxim, create your account, and tap Allow when it offers reminders.
Good to know
- Your data is separate from the website. To move it over: on the website go to Settings → Data & storage → Export backup, then in the app use Import backup.
- Sign-in is email and password in the app. Google sign-in and Drive sync work on the website for now.
- Updates: the app tells you when a new version is ready and brings you back to this page. Install the new file over the old one; your data stays.
- Nothing is sent to a server: your semester stays on your phone.
